The organ at St Margaret’s on the South side of the Choir was built and installed by William Hill and Son in 1901.

The organ was enlarged in 1980 by the addition of the Choir Organ and the Major Trumpet by John T. Jackson and Son who also installed the present four-manual console.

The organ is winded from a powerful electric motor installed in the small building attached to the East End of the church.

The organ was serviced regularly by John Jackson (The ‘Son’) until his retirement in 2012; the regular tuning and maintenance is now in the competent hands of John Barnes of Oakworth.
