We are pleased that you have chosen Playtime at St Margaret’s.  Our sessions are on Friday mornings during school term time from 9.30am – 11.30am at a charge of£2 per family and includes tea or coffee for carers.

Our activities are most suitable for young children up to 3 years old. If you have older children, do please think carefully whether Playtime is the best place for them and the other smaller children.

We begin with free play, the hall being divided into two main areas:
one for quiet play including book corner and jigsaw table
one for active and imaginative play.
There is also a paved area outside which may be used, weather permitting.

At 10.35am we clear the toys away so that we can share a biscuit, news and celebrate birthdays.  Please tell us if your child has a birthday to celebrate when you arrive.

At 11.00am we gather for a musical session with percussion instruments, action songs and puppets. We encourage everyone including parents and carers to join in the music making and the songs. At the end there is an optional story session.

At Christmas and Easter we mark these festivals with a simple ceremony.

In the interest of your child’s safety we ask you
to watch your child/children at all times.  Their safety is your responsibility
to take care with hot drinks
to stow bags at the side of the hall

We remind you
to leave no valuable unattended
that push chairs at left at your own risk

We look forward to seeing you!
