Our current pattern of weekday services is:
Monday to Friday
Morning Prayer at 9.00 am
A short service (about 20 minutes) of prayer, every morning (Monday to Friday). We sing parts of the service to 'plainchant,' simple chant that goes back to the earliest days of Christianity. There are readings from the Bible, and prayers for different aspects of our life together, or current local and world events. It is good to start the day with God.
Midweek Masses
Contemplative Mass Tuesday at 6.00pm
This is a short (c 20 minutes) and very simple celebration of the Eucharist, with few words and lots of space for prayer and contemplation. It is much-loved by members of our congregation as an opportunity for deeper prayerful connection with God. This is a good service to come along to especially if you're not used to the kind of worship that happens in our church.
Low Mass and Social Time Thursday at 11.00am
'Low Mass' means a simple, said Eucharist - the blessing and sharing of bread and wine together. This service lasts around 25 minutes and includes readings from the Bible, prayers, and ends with us receiving communion together. It is peaceful and reflective. Afterwards all are welcome to head up to the hall for tea, coffee, biscuits, and some social time together.
